IOWA RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Iowa Finance Authority will be administering $195 million in rent and utility assistance through the Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The program, known as the Iowa Rent and Utility Assistance Program, may provide eligible Iowans with assistance for a period of up to twelve months.
Program Timing: We are awaiting required program guidance to be issued by the U.S. Treasury. As soon as this guidance is available, the program will open for applications as soon as possible.
Various organizations, schools, and individuals are offering assistance to area residents and students with food security.
Northeast Iowa Community Action
NEICAC is now offering a free home delivery service, in order to transport food and household necessities from food pantries directly to the door of community members!

Those in need must call for an appointment (563-425-3399) and leave a message.
Open Tuesday 1pm-7pm. Arrive with your trunk cleaned out for volunteers to place sacks of food in your vehicle. Do not exit your vehicle.
Open on Tuesday 9am-12pm and Friday 1pm-4pm. Serving Oelwein area residents.
Clients needing food will have to call Northeast Iowa Community Action at 319-283-2510 to receive a mailed referral form. Service is now being done from the 3rd lower level window from the street on the south side of the church.
Open Tuesday 5pm-8pm and Friday 9am-12pm. Serving Westgate, Maynard, Denver, Oran, Fairbank, Frederika, Readlyn, Randalia, Sumner, and Tripoli.
